What are the floorplans available for 2024-2025 academic year?
For the 2024-2025 academic year, the full Residential Village will be completed and include three residence halls, Forest Hall, Horizon Hall, and Summit Hall. Forest Hall offers suites plus, which are double or single rooms attached to a small shared hallway, which then has a private adjoined bathroom. Horizon Hall offers full apartments. Apartments come in studio, 2 double bedrooms, or 4 single bedrooms. Each apartment will have a full kitchen, private bathroom, and shared living space. Summit Hall double and triple suites will also be available.
Do I need to be a UWB student to live in housing?
First priority for available housing goes to UWB students, however we are also able to open housing applications to Cascadia College students on May 1st, depending on availability.
Are there rules and regulation I must follow when living in housing?
Yes, the Residential Village is on-campus student housing and all students living in housing must follow the community standards, which is included in within the lease.
How can I request a specific roommate?
Within the housing application, students are given the opportunity to indicate a specific roommate within the roommate questionnaire portion.
What is the application fee?
We have a $100 administrative fee that is required to submit a housing application.
Can I cancel a housing after I sign a lease?
Yes, however fees accumulate depending on when a student cancels their lease. A table is included in the student lease that outlines fees they will need to pay depending on when they cancel. Cancellation requests can be submitted to: [email protected].
Are the floors/buildings split by gender?
No, floors and buildings will not be split by gender. Residential units will be split by gender such as all female or all male rooms.
Is Renter’s Insurance required?
Yes, students are required to purchase or show proof of personal liability insurance with a minimum coverage amount of $100,000. If a student does not show proof of this coverage, they will be opted into the landlord-provided liability insurance for $13.95 per month.

Is gender neutral housing an option?
Yes, gender neutral rooms are an option. Within the housing application students are asked what gender they identify as, and what gender(s) they are comfortable living with. We utilize these answers to place students in gender neutral housing.
I don't have anyone I would like to room with specifically, how will you match me with a roommate?
The housing application includes a roommate questionnaire. If
students do not indicate a specific person they would like to live
with, we will use the answers of the questionnaire to match them
with other students who have similar
interests.
Will financial aid cover housing and dining costs?
For some students, they are able to cover housing and dining costs with financial aid, however students who are concerned should reach out directly to Financial Aid at [email protected].
Where will I park if I am a residential student?
Students living in the Residential Village are able to purchase a parking pass through UWB Commuter Services. West parking garage will be available for residential students to park overnight. Residential parking passes will be $810 for the academic year or $270 for the quarter.
Will I be required to have a meal plan?
Students living in Forest and Summit Halls are required to have a meal plan, wheras students living in Horizon Hall are not required but highly encouraged to have a meal plan. More information on available meal plans can be found here.
Am I able to cancel/change my residential meal plan after signing the housing lease?
Students are not able to cancel their residential meal plans. Students can change their residential meal plans by submitting a request to [email protected].
- Changes for Fall quarter need to be submitted by September 15th, 2024
- Changes for Winter Quarter need to be submitted by November 30th, 2024
- Changes for Spring Quarter need to be submitted by February 28th, 2025
How do meal swipes work?
Meal swipes are used to get into Market Bar, which is the all-you-care-to-eat area of the Terrace Dining Pavilion. Meal swipes are the primary function of all meal plans.
What are dining bucks?
Dining bucks are used like cash to purchase whole meals, or snacks at all dining facilities across campus including Gold Brew and Marketing POD.
What is a guest meal?
Guest meals can be used to treat friends or family to a meal in the dining hall.
What is a meal exchange?
Meal exchanges can be used to convert a meal swipe into purchase at retail style outlets (Clean Plate & Food Lab) in the Dining Pavilion.
What is the application process?
Students can visit www.liveatuwbothell.com and click on the apply tab to apply for housing. Within the application, students are able to select their floorplan preference and meal plan, as well as indicate roommate preferences. If spaces are still available, Capstone will process and approve the application and send a lease to the student to sign. Typically there is a deadline to sign the lease within 48 hours of receiving it. Once the lease is signed and approved, the student's housing is secured.
What are the dining options on campus?
- Inside of Terrace Dining Pavilion there are 5 dining concepts: Market Bar, Urban Kitchen, Clean Plate, Food Lab, and The Drop. To learn more about these concepts visit the Bothell Dining Website at https://bothelldining.campusdish.com/
What are the dining hours?
During the academic year dining will be available on weekdays from 7:30am to 9:00pm, and weekends from 10:00am to 2:00pm and 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Holidays and breaks do not apply.
What do I do if I run out of meals?
Weekly meal plans will re-load meal swipes at the beginning of each week. In the meantime, or for other meal plan holders, dining dollars are always available to purchase. Additionally, all dining outlets will have cash value and students can pay with traditional payment methods.
Can you accommodate my food allergy or dietary needs?
Bothell Dining will work individually with students to provide accommodations for dietary needs and food allergies. If you have a food allergy and are looking for dining accommodation please contact Disability Resources for Students at [email protected] to start the process.
When do meal plans expire?
- Commuter meal plans expire at the end of each academic quarter. Dining dollars will roll over between consecutive quarters within the same academic year.
- Residential meal plans expire at the end of the lease term. The lease term ends June 7th, 2024.
What is the take-out policy at the Terrace Dining Pavilion?
Take-out from Market Bar will be limited to one box and one beverage. All other dining outlets will have the option to take food to-go.
